Food Lion Deals 10/23: Potatoes, apples, chicken, Pepsi, Surf & more!

Posted October 23, 2013

Food Lion has some good deals starting Wednesday, 10/23 on potatoes, apples, chicken, Pepsi, Coke, Surf & more! There is also a $3 off $5 candy purchase printable coupon!

Please share any other good deals you find.  These deals are valid 10/23 - 10/29.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed per the Food Lion coupon policy.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on FoodLion.com.

E-Coupons: You can now load RedPlum.com manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Quality Guarantee: Food Lion offers a double money back quality guarantee on all Food Lion store brands.

Free Holiday Dinner promotion is back this year: From October 2 – November 26, spend $40 or more in each visit. Collect 6 weekly tickets and then redeem your tickets for your $20 coupon. Must redeem tickets by 11/26/13. $20 coupon expires 12/10/13. See store for more details.

LAXMom12 - great deal! Thanks for sharing your scenario....which I will duplicate exactly if I can find the Kit Kat .55 coupon! lol

  • LAXMom12 Oct 23, 2013

Well, I also added a BOGO Snickers coupon to get 2 of those with it

  • LAXMom12 Oct 23, 2013

Faye - I found an 8 pack of Kit Kat bars which are on sale for $1.50 with a .55 off one peelie and then the Milky Way snack bars were $3.49. With the coupon and the $3 off $5 it was $1.44 plus tax.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 23, 2013

skisx3 - unfortunately, Food Lion does not list the price of BOGO's in the ad and they do not have an Express Lane online shopping portal so I can check prices (like HT and LF do). So, you will not see prices listed for BOGO's for Food Lion.

If anyone happens to be shopping at FL this week and you check the price of the Purex, please post it here. I will be surprised if it is low enough to meet my buy price of $2 for a 50 oz (4 cents per oz).

  • skisx3 Oct 23, 2013

What is the price of the Purex? There is no price listed.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 23, 2013

LAX - was there an especially good deal with the candy coupon you found?

  • LAXMom12 Oct 23, 2013

Yes Faye I was going to post about that....just used mine and it is sweet!

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 23, 2013

Just updated list above with weekly printable coupons. There is a sweet $3 coupon off any $5 candy purchase!

janunnery27330 - To load th eibott app to your smartphone, go to your apps store on your phone. Search for ibotta. Download it to your phone. Once you have successfully downloaded the Ibotta app to your smartphone, you will need to click on the app to open it up. To do this, go to your apps and look for the ibotta logo (you can see what the logo looks like from the link below). Then you will need to log in to the ibotta account you created on the computer using the same username and password. You do not have to log in each time - only the first time and then when you go to cash out your ibotta earnings.

Then, follow these instructions below to link your Food Lion MVP card to ibotta so you can get the digital ibotta earnings:

    Hope that helps. :-)

OK, I am still messing with Ibotta an hour later. I have all this useless stuff loaded on my computer (iTunes, iTune store)just so I could download Ibotta. So, where is it and how do I activate it? I see no icons to click on or whatever. What is my next step?
    Thanks for help.
