Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

You cannot use Food Lion store coupons and manufacturer's coupons on the same item. "Stacking" coupons like that is not allowed at Food Lion.

The ad indicates that prices are valid for stores in these cities: Apex, Bunn, Cary, Clayton, Franklinton, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Louisburg, Morrisville, Raleigh, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, Youngsville, Zebulon. If you do not live in one of these cities, your ad may be different and you can check for any differences on

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Nakabi, I am in Southeast Zebulon, although I would call it far east Clayton. But I still get back up to Raleigh/Cary/Apex since we have nothing here in the way of shopping. A HT was being built close to me that was supposed to open this fall, but I'm not holding my breath any more with all the talk of a potential sale. :(

I checked on the shrimp that are going to be on sale for the 3-day sale at FL, and they are from Thailand. Think I'll pass, thanks!

eje1015-I always buy my shrimp whole (with head on) and the INTL store I go to behind the Walmart on New Hope Church Rd sells them for $3.29/lb ( I think.) I love to make shrimp stock and you want the entire shrimp for that.
The peeled shrimp is $4.99/lb I think.
They no longer carry salmon I found out yesterday when I went in for some papaya :( Guess I'll go back to my old INTL store near Brentwood for that.
jdouglas-are you located in Raleigh? For some reason I thought you lived in FV or Zebulon?

  • jdouglas13 Feb 28, 2013

That sounds great, Nakabi -- short of that, we can always meet up for coffee sometime. I'd love to meet you too! :)

  • eje1015 Feb 28, 2013

nakabi- what Intl store do you go to? How much are shrimp there?

  • nakabi Feb 27, 2013

jdouglas-let me know when you are planning on going so I can possibly meet you! I'd love finally be able to put a face to the name!!!

  • jdouglas13 Feb 27, 2013

Thanks, Nakabi! I think I'm going to try to get to your Intl store this week some time. :)

  • nakabi Feb 27, 2013

jdouglas-the shrimp is okay. I prefer the shrimp from the INTL store I go to.

  • nakabi Feb 27, 2013

Jdouglas-The shrimp is for one pound. I checked this afternoon.

  • jdouglas13 Feb 27, 2013

Good catch on the missing weight for the shrimp deal, Faye. I was just assuming it was for 1 lb, and was getting ready to ask here if anyone had tried FL cooked shrimp.

So, I guess my questions are -- if anyone stops by FL, would you see how big the package is, and does anyone have any reviews on the quality/taste of the shrimp?

Glad you were able to get the chicken deal, bean! It does get confusing when there are multiple ads for areas nearby.
