Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Joy it Forward opportunity: Support the Hunger has a Cure Food Box campaign at Food Lion stores by purchasing a $4.99 food box or making a donation at the register. Donations go to Feeding America and local food banks.

Gift card promo: Buy $50 or more in participating gift cards and save $5 instantly (with min. $5 grocery purchase)
Participating cards shown in the ad include Aeropostale, iTunes, Olive Garden, Toys R Us, Regal theaters and more!

Well at the store in Carrboro I went to they are only doing the GC promo on the ones listed in the ad. Too bad... OH well, no promos @ kroger but they are giving 4X fuel rewards points if you buy your GCs there. If you use their gas that's a deal.

Yesterday the Kroger store on Southwest Durham Drive in Durham had Skippy Natural Peanut Butter (smooth, 15 ounce only) on the sale rack in the back of the store for $1.69. Had a .35 coupon which doubled, making this a good buy. Plenty on the shelf yesterday.

Did anyone happen to notice the price of ground turkey at food lion this week?

  • jdouglas13 Dec 5, 2012

The Kraft promo also applies to Bakers chocolate (unsweetened, semisweet, and German sweet) for anyone who may be doing some holiday baking. They are currently on sale for $2.29 which is already a pretty good price for it, and even better with the $5 back wyb 10 -- it would then be $1.79. The big box of Jello pudding was on sale for $1, or $0.50 after the discount. Between the semisweet chocolate and pudding, you are well on your way to a batch of napoleons!

The unsweetened chocolate is wonderful for homemade brownies, and their one-bowl brownie recipe should be on the box. Just add a little instant coffee powder or espresso powder and a couple of teaspoons of vanilla extract. Yum! :)
