Food Lion Deals: Chicken, tomatoes & more

Posted October 10, 2012

Food Lion has some good deals this week on chicken breast, chicken leg quarters, Tilapia, tomatoes, My Essentials soda and more.

These deals are valid 10/10 – 10/16.

Food Lion Coupon Basics

Food Lion does not double coupons

They have no limits on number of coupons they will take, unless specified in the ad

BOGO items ring up at half price so if you only buy 1, it rings at half price. You can use a coupon on each BOGO sale item.

E-Coupons: You can now load manufacturer’s coupons to your Food Lion MVP card and when they scan your card at the register and you buy the qualifying items, the discount will come off automatically. I spoke with corporate and they confirmed that these are manufacturer’s coupons and not to be combined with hard copy manufacturer’s from the newspaper and other sources. She said their policy is only 1 coupon per product. No e-coupons will double. Click HERE for more information.

Hunger Relief Day at the NC State Fair is Thursday, October 18, 2012. Get FREE fair admission with the donation of 4 cans of Food Lion store brand products. Now is the time to buy them while the Super Sale is going on.

Free Holiday Dinner Promotion: Spend $40 or more in one shopping trip for 6 weeks between October 3 and November 27 and get a $20 coupon good on anything in the store. You have to give them the coupon on the last page of the ad this week to enroll in this promotion. Each week you spend $40 or more, you will get a ticket. Collect 6 of the tickets and you get the $20 coupon. See the ad for details including items that do not count toward the $40 requirement.

Thank you both for your help!

Blue Devil - a reasonable frugal buy price for 50 oz of laundry detergent is $2 or less with sales and coupons. Tide rarely (if ever) gets that cheap and Xtra is often that cheap with no coupons. We usually use Wisk, Arm & Hammer or All and I regularly find them at the $2 or less price with sales and coupons. Like Nakabi - my goal is always $1.50 or less for a 50 oz, but I can live with $2...but not more than that. :-)

It is the 50 oz bottle or the 24 count All mighty pacs. I wish we had a HT near us because I am always seeing a lot of good deals for there. We have an IGA and a Food Lion and neither of them double coupons.

Blue Devil Woman-You need to see how many ounces the bottles are. $3 is more than I spend on 50 ounces. My buy price is $1.50 for 50 ounces which is able to be done when HT does their super doubles.

Food Lion has All detergent 2 for $8.00. I have a coupon for $2.00 off 2, which would make it 2 for $6.00 or $3.00 a piece. Is this a good deal? It sounds pretty good to me.
