LEE COUNTY, FLA. — The state's Department of Transportation announced Tuesday that nearly all tolls will resume this week.

The tolls will start again at 12:01 AM Thursday after being suspended for over two weeks while Hurricane Irma approached and residents dealt with the aftermath.

However, tolls will remain suspended on the Homestead Extension of Florida's Turnpike south of the interchange with S.R. 874 (Mile Post 0-17) to assist Monroe County residents with recovery efforts.

Lee County announced Monday that bridge tolls in the county will resume at 6pm Tuesday on Sanibel Causeway, Midpoint Memorial Bridge, and the Cape Coral Bridge.
