Five sought for questioning in Cumberland shootout

Cumberland County investigators are searching for five men wanted for questioning in a shootout that killed two men Sunday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County investigators are searching for five men wanted for questioning in a shootout that killed two men Sunday.

Investigators said that gunfire erupted in a mobile home at 3921 Donna St. around 4:20 a.m. last Sunday, killing Rodriguez Odell Harris, 23, and Terrell Boykin, 19, both of Fayetteville.

Homicide detectives have identified five people of interest in the case:

  • Jammal Rashad Miles, 23, of 1809 Martindale Drive,
  • Anthony "Ant" Dannel Stearns, 21, of 3901 Coventry Road,
  • Earl "Lil Earl" Clarence Avant III, 21, of 6430 Rannock Drive
  • Terrance "T-Black" Justin Holmes, 21, of 308 Currie St.
  • Emmanuel "Bucky" Patterson, 19, who is homeless

Detectives said the men have been uncooperative with the investigation.
