Five-car crash reported on I-85 near Hillsborough

— Orange County EMS crews responded to a five-car crash on Interstate 85 North at the I-40 split near Hillsborough Monday morning, authorities said.

One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, which happened around 5:30 a.m., according to troopers.

The crash happened after one car failed to stop near a construction zone, authorities said. No other information was available.

    The back end of one of the vehicles was pushed up next to the back seat. Not a pretty sight at all.

    The construction people were trying to finish up on the night work and were moving barrels out of the way.

    Too much speed and not paying attention to the driving is what caused this. You can bet someone's insurance will go up.

    There are drivers who think that the construction and slow signs and the arrows merging the traffic on the highway are ment for everyone but them.
