Fit is key when picking Halloween costumes for pets

Halloween costumes for pets have become so popular and mainstream that you no longer have to go to dog specialty stores to find costumes for your pets. Target, Walmart and the Dollar Store, along with many other stores, sell costumes for cats and dogs.
Sure, it's totally unnecessary and – in many cases – quite silly. But I love it.
As long as a costume doesn't stress out your pet or restrict their movement, they can be a lot of fun.
Personally, I had high hopes for Baxter and Lily's costumes this year.
Lily was going to be a cow, as she is white with black spots. Baxter was going to be a tiger, but his costume was just a little small.
A switch was necessary – Lily became the pig and Baxter the cow.
As you prepare for your Halloween events this week, double check the fit and safety of not just your child's costume, but your pet's costume as well!
