Fish kill reported at Falls Lake

— State wildlife officials were investigating Thursday after about 100 catfish were found dead in Falls Lake.

The fish, which weighed about 1½ pounds each, were found near the Sandling Beach area at the lake, but officials said they hadn't determined the cause of the fish kill.

    Maybe they should do a cat-scan to determine the cause of death?

    It's probably either dynamite fishing, electricity fishing, or maybe just an epidemic.

    I doubt catfish are fragile enough to die because of culling. I have cleaned catfish an hour after removing them from the lake
    and they were still alive enough to swim. This sounds like a poison that effected the bottom feeders. But, the scientists need to answer this mystery. In the meantime - don't eat the fish!
