First Friday Best Bet: cut loose with City Market

Posted April 4, 2013

First Friday at City Market

— Our Best Bet this month is an 80s-themed dance party at City Market in downtown Raleigh. It's time to cut loose and celebrate First Friday!

City Market is paying tribute to entertainment through the decades on First Fridays until November. They'll be celebrating the 1980s in April, and everyone's invited to dress in their 80s best for music, dancing, giveaways and fun.

The M80s, an 80s tribute band, will be performing live from 6-9 p.m., and there will be a dance-off to show off your sweet moves (you must be dressed in 80s attire for the dance-off).

There will be prizes given to dance-off and raffle winners, including handmade items and gift certificates to shops and restaurants in City Market.

Of course, the event is free and open to the public!

Be sure to check out our complete list of all the First Friday events and specials!
