First Friday Best Bet: The Road Not Taken

Downtown Raleigh will celebrate First Friday this week with plenty of art, live music and deals.

This month's best bet is an art exhibit at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences called The Road Not Taken by Ruth Ava Lyons. The new exhibit has its grand opening this Friday from 6:30-9 p.m. This collection of oil paintings was inspired by natural landscapes.

The Nature Art Gallery is located on the mezzanine level of the Museum Store and features original nature-themed art. All exhibited art is for sale. If you can't make it during First Friday, The Road Not Taken runs through Oct. 28.
