Posted July 13, 2010

— A manufacturer of construction materials will build a wallboard manufacturing facility in Person County, creating 89 jobs over the next three years, officials announced Tuesday.

CertainTeed Gypsum Inc. expects to invest $160 million in the gypsum wallboard manufacturing facility in Roxboro, officials said.

Based on lots of what I've read that you've posted, I'm sure someone much, much smarter than you made the decision that this would be profitable.

tobywilliamson58 While there are many people in Person County who definitely need jobs, don't forget that there are MANY unemployed folks outside of Person County - you don't need to be so greedy, toby. I'm getting tired of your ludicrous remarks!

We need all the help we can get in Roxboro. Everybody in my family, excluding my wife, has to drive as far as Raleigh to work.
