Firefighter injured battling fire at Pitt County home
A firefighter suffered a broken leg early Friday while battling a fire at a home in rural Pitt County, officials said.

FARMVILLE, N.C. — A firefighter suffered a broken leg early Friday while battling a fire at a home in rural Pitt County, officials said.
The unidentified firefighter was injured when a wall collapsed on him.
Crews responded to the home, at 5621 Statonsburg Road near Farmville, at about 3 a.m. No one was inside the home when the fire started, and no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
