Fire Truck Parade

My family had a great time Saturday at the South Atlantic Fire Rescue Expo's annual fire truck parade, which motored (and, in one instance, clopped) down Fayetteville Street on Saturday!

The small parade featured several dozen antique and modern fire trucks, which my five-year-old, especially, loved to see. We parked near the State Capitol, where the parade lined up, and got to see some of the trucks up close before the parade began. Once the parade was over, we walked down to the Raleigh Convention Center, where we saw more trucks, along with demonstrations and a performance from a bagpipe and drum corps.

We really enjoyed it! And I had a good time meeting some Go Ask Mom readers, too!

Thank you to the expo for offering this in Raleigh each year! And thank you to all of the firefighters and rescue personnel for your service and sacrifice!
