How sad for our community in Pearces! I was in shock when I learned that Peacres community store had caught fire. I drove by the little country store daily to and from work, and not to mention all the times my family has stopped there when riding four wheelers to get a soda or candy for the kids. It will be hard to view my daily route with our little store not there. Hopefully it will be rebuilt!

Many THANKS to all the FIREFIGTHERS that were on the scene. You are all HEROES , and thanks for all you do keeping everyone safe!

I have some good friends that were on Justice FD, but havent seen em since high school--one of my best buddies was on Justice and left me in a building during a live burn exercise--cause the instructor told me to stop and see if they came back for me--they didnt--and he never lived that one down lol. I would fight fire again with him any day though--they just werent expecting that during a training exercise.

Yes you are correct, Justice Fire Dept. I can only assume from your earlier post you are michael williams sister?

Great effort by all the firefighters on the scene last night. I listened to this call on my radio and they did the best they could with what was available. Hate to see the store go, I have many friends in the Pearces community so i've been by there many times.

amen fire fighter. My daddy use to be the "Volunteer Fire Chief from Pilot VFD" and he did a great job serving the community. He served close to 30 yrs as a volunteer firefighter for the community. And even then gave even more to the Fire Dept--myself and my brother! We served the community proudly...I would go back to the department again in a heartbeat, I only left because I moved away. They were a great bunch of people and still are..some of the best in my book!

"fire fighter"- we greatly appreciate all that you do for your/our community. My mother works at station 1 in Wake Forest and I know a right many guys/women there and they work so hard and love what they do. I'm in Hopkins district, which is volunteer, and quite recently when there has been a fire or someone hurt, they were there within 3 minutes...dedication!
