A fire that spread quickly through a south Raleigh home early Sunday morning is being called a total loss, according to fire officials.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A fire that spread quickly through a south Raleigh home early Sunday morning caused extensive damage to the second story, according to fire officials.

Crews responded to the house fire at 1112 Formal Garden Way at about 4:45 a.m.

No one was injured in the blaze, but two people were displaced. The home is a total loss.

An investigation has determined that the cause of the fire was accidental.
