Fire reported at Raleigh assisted living facility

Posted March 26, 2014

— Residents of an assisted living facility may be relocated after a fire Wednesday night.

The blaze was reported at The Heritage of Raleigh on Carlos Drive.

No injuries were reported and fire damage was minimal but smoke and water damage may cause some residents to be moved to another location, which is why a large number of ambulances were at the facility.

Evidently the fire wasn't too bad but something malfunctioned causing flooding. My Mom-in-Law was told it would be Saturday or Sunday until she could come back. Only one floor is assisted living while four floors are independent living. Not everyone has family to go to. Where was everyone put? Is it possible to get a follow-up story?
