Durham, N.C. — Durham fire investigators aren't sure yet what caused a fire at a local Days Inn near Interstate 85 Wednesday night.
Firefighters were called to the motel, at 3460 Hillsborough Road, shortly before 10:30 p.m., where they found heavy smoke pouring from the building to the roadway.
It's unclear where the fire started, but firefighters found a blaze in a breezeway on the first and second floors. Crews contained the blaze to the breezway area, and no room sustained any damage, Durham Fire Department officials said.
There were no reports of injuries. Guests were moved to a sister motel.
The fire took about 30 minutes to put out.
