DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters were dispatched to a Durham day care facility on Tuesday afternoon after a fire was reported there, Durham 911 dispatchers said.

The fire was reported just after 5:30 p.m. at the Enrichment Center at 10 T. W. Alexander Drive.

Bethesda Fire Chief Robert Andrews said 83 children were in the building when the fire started. They were able to get out safely.

No injuries were reported.

The blaze appeared to have been caused by renovation being done to the building, Andrews said. No official cause has been determined.
