— A Franklin Street restaurant had to be evacuated after a fire broke out Saturday evening, according to the Chapel Hill Fire Marshal's Office.

The fire started in the 411 West restaurant, 411 W. Franklin St., around 6:45 p.m., according to a news release. Firefighters found smoke in the kitchen area when they arrived. Five crews from Chapel Hill and personnel with the New Hope Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire.

The Orange County Rescue Service responded, but no one was injured.

Investigators determined that the fire was accidental. The restaurant sustained about $15,000 worth of damage.
