Fire Forces Evacuation of Resin Plant
A Chatham County manufacturing plant was evacuated Friday afternoon when a fire broke out inside, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedMONCURE, N.C. — A Chatham County manufacturing plant was evacuated Friday afternoon when a fire broke out inside, authorities said.
The fire started in the Dynea USA Inc. plant on Corinth Road near Moncure at about 4 p.m., authorities said. The plant makes resins for industrial uses.
Four fire departments responded to the incident and put out the fire, authorities said.
No injuries were reported, and the fire posed no hazard to the surrounding community, authorities said.
