ZEBULON, N.C. — A Thursday night fire destroyed a Zebulon home, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

The fire started in the rear of the home, at 3006 Wild Iris Drive, at about 7 p.m., Zebulon Fire Chief Sidney Perry said. No one was home at the time, he said.

Authorities haven't determined the cause of the fire, which also damaged two adjacent houses.

Perry said the damage to the three homes was estimated at $240,000 to $250,000.
