Wow. I'm appalled at the audacity of some people. I stood among family and friends last night watching MY livelihood go up in flames all I could think about was all the blood, sweat and tears that my family and I have out into that restaurant. My children are in that restaurant more than they are at home. No amount of "insurance money" could ever come close to the memories that I have in there - especially the ones I made with my late mother. Her fingerprints were all over everything in that building along with pictures and tons of irreplaceable things. Intentionally burn down a landmark that is 72 years old??? Seriously people- have respect for others. A little class goes a long way. How tasteless of you to get on this website and "critique" our food, service or morals. Shame on you.

Eaten there many times since the 60's. Everyone down there knows fire season begins after Labor Day.

Nothing like a good insurance fire. Lone Cedar? Right near Ellas, our favorite Calabash joint for 40 years.

The seafood has evolved thumbs and can now strike matches. Revenge is a dish best served deep fried.

I traveled with a group down there several weeks ago. We ate seafood at Becks. The food was poor and service even worse! I'm not surprised about the fire. Sorry for the employees that may now be out of work.
