Fire damages Raleigh seafood restaurant

— No one was injured in a fire that broke out early Monday at a Raleigh seafood restaurant.

The blaze at Fitzgerald’s Seafood, at 2015 E. Millbrook St., was under control by about 7 a.m., firefighters reported.

Crews briefly blocked traffic on northbound Atlantic Avenue at Millbrook Road while they worked to knock down the flames.

The extent of damage was not immediately released, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.

    There is also another business inside that makes all the desserts: Premier Cakes. I hope both businesses bounce back quickly! I agree with RockOutwithyourGlockout, but I'm not sure if they just mean the fire or both the fire and the proofreading.

    While their seafood is good, it is HARDLY the best seafood around; best for that price maybe :)

    I have eaten there and it is good and the broiled or grilled platter is good, hush puppies are really good

    Glad all are safe. They do have some decent reasonably priced seafood....hope they reopen
