Fire damages north Raleigh house
A fire significantly damaged a home on Mitchell Mill Road, near Louisburg Road, in north Raleigh early Monday, fire officials said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A fire significantly damaged a home on Mitchell Mill Road, near Louisburg Road, in north Raleigh early Monday, fire officials said.
Residents at 6424 Mitchell Mill Road said they heard a boom around 3:15 a.m., then found flames near an electrical panel. All three residents got out safely.
The fire damaged about half the house before crews extinguished it.
Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
