Two dogs die in house fire on Old Milburnie Road

— Two dogs died in a house fire on Old Milburnie Road in Raleigh Friday night, authorities said.

According to fire officials, the blaze started at about 9:45 p.m.

Raleigh and New Hope fire departments responded, and by midnight they were putting out hot spots.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.

Authorities were not able to immediately locate the person who rents the home, but they said he was not home at the time of the fire.

No additional information was immediately available.

    Any fire, that has victims, even if they are "only pets", is disheartening. This home/pet owner, is surely feeling the loss of family members. Some 65-70% of homeowners, have a pet of some kind, therefore, the vast amount of people, should find this story, to be an extremely sad one. My thoughts and prayers, go out to this or these, homeowner/s.
