Fire burns through roof of Youngsville home

Two people were able to escape a house fire Friday in Youngsville, but the house where they were staying suffered serious roof damage.

YOUNGSVILLE, N.C. — Two people were able to escape a house fire Friday in Youngsville, but the house where they were staying suffered serious roof damage. 

Wake Forest News reported that the pair heard crackling in the attic and called 911. The fire quickly burst through the roof of the home.

Firefighters from Youngsville, Bunn, Wake Forest and Franklinton used water from a nearby pond to put out the blaze.
