A fire at a power substation in Cumberland County knocked out power to some residents Thursday morning, according to the local power company.
Posted — UpdatedEASTOVER, N.C. — A fire at a power substation in Cumberland County knocked out power to some residents Thursday morning, according to the local power company.
South River EMC tweeted a photo of the fire at a substation in the area of the Town of Eastover. The company said the power was restored to everyone around 9:30 a.m.
It's unclear what caused the fire or exactly how many customers were affected.
