Film productions spent $240M in NC in 2014
The film industry spent just over $240 million on productions filmed in North Carolina last year.

The numbers show that the industry employed about 8,400 people and will receive tax credits of about $60 million for productions filmed during 2014.
The figures show 35 productions were filmed in the state – a number that includes commercials, television series and feature films.
The television series "Sleepy Hollow" spent the most, at almost $44 million. The series "Under the Dome" was next, with spending of just over $35 million.
Both productions were filmed in the Wilmington area.
The tax credit program ended in 2014, and state lawmakers replaced it with a grant program. That prompted "Sleepy Hollow" and many other productions to pack up and move to other states with more lucrative incentives programs.
"Under the Dome" will receive the lion's share of the $10 million of available state grants in 2015, officials said last month.
