Fike High School evacuated for bomb threat Friday, third in Wilson County this week

Fike High School was evacuated Friday by the latest threat. Students and staff were forced to evacuate while officers investigated.

Parents received news of the bomb threat in a message from district officials. After-school events went on as planned, but with increased security.

Officials said similar threats were made on other Wilson County High Schools, Hunt High School and Beddingfield High School, just this week. One threat warned of a bomb and another series of calls warned of a mass shooting.

Two students have been charged, and authorities are still looking for a third.

16-year-old Shakeira Monea Bynum is charged with making a false bomb report on a public building. An unidentified 15-year-old was given a juvenile petition for making a bomb threat as well. Officers have arrested 19-year-old Raekwon Rogers, who made three calls Wednesday threatening a mass shooting at Hunt High School. He is facing a felony charge.

Wilson County Schools Superintendent Lane Mills has offered a reward for information leading to the people behind all these threats.
