Fight at Greenville club sparks triple shooting

A fight that began in a Greenville nightclub early Sunday ended in a shooting that injured three people, police said.

GREENVILLE, N.C. — A fight that began in a Greenville nightclub early Sunday ended in a shooting that injured three people, police said.

CBS affiliate WNCT reports that a fight in Club Phoenix spilled into a dirt parking lot at East Fourth Street and Reade Circle around 3 a.m. Gunshots were fired, injuring three people.

Jeffrey Jermaine Staton, 26, of Greenville, and Terrance Grimes, 31, of Ayden, were taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

A bullet grazed the legs of Kiesha Wilkins, 20, of Colerain, but she did not require hospitalization.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
