FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A fifth person has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of a man in Spring Lake.
The Fayetteville Observer reported that 21-year-old Jeffrey Jamal Campbell of Fayetteville has been charged with first-degree murder.

Campbell is the fourth person charged with first-degree murder in the July 19 shooting death of 30-year-old Carey Terelle McLean.

Daryryl Frederick Brown, 21, of Spring Lake, was arrested Monday night. The other suspects are 34-year-old Jerri Davis, 23-year-old Shaquan Darnell Parker and 25-year-old Shante Nicole Ellis.

Davis and Parker are charged with murder. Ellis is charged with conspiracy.

Spring Lake police seized two rifles and about 1,500 rounds of ammunition from Campbell's home. Detectives also seized Campbell's car, which is the same type of vehicle seen leaving the mobile home park when McLean was killed.

It was not clear if Campbell has a lawyer.
