This wasnt a hit and run, the driver never fled the scene.

Ok, so lots of folks here are speculating & trying to blame the victim.

You're missing something important...and factual...

The driver killed this person, but... Did. Not. Stop.

I also see many wearing all black, or dark, clothing trying to cross roads at dusk and beyond..... I don't understand why they can't figure out that is NOT the best color for walking on or in the roads at night.

I also see some (in the daytime) who don't even LOOK to see if traffic is going to stop, they just continue on. Just because they have the right of way in a crosswalk DOES NOT MEAN that folks will stop. ONE MUST be responsible for their own safety and not just think because there is a rule or law that that will protect them.

Sorry she lost her life....people just need to learn.

The guy who waved me off this morning while running and crossing the street against the big red "no crossing" hand so he wouldn't lose his pace needs to read this story...

Some folks don't stop because they have no drivers license or some other legal issues.
