— A truck hauling animal feed overturned on a crew-cab pickup on U.S. Highway 13 outside Newton Grove Monday morning, authorities said.

A modified school bus hauling sweet potatoes ran a stop sign at the intersection of Rosin Hill Road and U.S. 13, forcing the feed truck to veer off the road, authorities said. The truck hit the parked pickup and flipped over the top of it.

The driver of the feed truck and the occupants of the pickup weren't injured in the wreck.

The driver of the modified school bus fled the scene on foot, and authorities weren't able to locate him Monday.

One lane of the highway was blocked after the 7:30 a.m. wreck.
