FBI seeks help to identify suspected serial bank robber

Raleigh, N.C. — The FBI asked for the public's help Friday to identify a man believed to have robbed at least three Wake County banks since September.
Authorities have dubbed the man the "No Bag Bandit" because he carried the stolen cash off in his hands instead of using a bag.
The FBI has linked the man to a Sept. 23 robbery at a SunTrust Bank branch at 6300 Creedmoor Road in Raleigh, a Nov. 25 robbery at a SunTrust branch at 1273 NW Maynard Road in Cary and a Jan. 19 robbery of a Wells Fargo branch at 1301 Fifth Ave. in Garner.
The robber is described as white, about 40 years old, 6-foot-2 to 6-foot-4 tall and about 180 pounds. He has a gray beard and protruding teeth, but authorities said it appears that he might have darkened the color of his hair and beard before the Jan. 19 robbery.
Anyone with information about any of the robberies is asked to call the Charlotte Division of the FBI at 704-672-6100, Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP, Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746 or the Garner Police Department at 919-772-8810.
