Fayettville police: Car could be clue to drive-by at Smokey Bones

Fayetteville police on Saturday released surveillance video of a vehicle outside Smokey Bones restaurant and asked for help from the public in linking the car to a drive-by shooting in the Skibo Road parking lot on May 10.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Saturday released surveillance video of a vehicle outside Smokey Bones restaurant and asked for help from the public in linking the car to a drive-by shooting in the Skibo Road parking lot on May 10.

In that shooting, Algeria Khalyid McNair, 21, was hit in the face, neck and knee, and was taken to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill with life-threatening injuries.

Police asked that anyone who recognizes the car or has other information about the shooting call 910-303-9554 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Anonymous tips can be texted to 274637. Type "4Tip” in the body, followed by the message.
