Police say a Fayetteville woman wounded an intruder Thursday night, and officers have charged a man in the case.

Derrick Emmanuel Allen, 45, of Elliot Farm Road, has been charged with breaking and entering and conspiracy. Police said he is being treated at a local hospital.

The woman heard a noise and saw two people breaking into her home. Police said she grabbed a 20-gauge shotgun and shot one of them in the arm, causing both burglars to flee.

Police are still searching for a second person in the case.

Where are all of the PRO GUN CONTROL comments. I guess its because the woman actually defended herself inside her own home. Facts are facts! The gun control crowd will make up some scenerio to make her action a crime or say that she endangered everyone arround her for five miles with her six shooter antics. (Yes, I read that it was a 20 Ga. shotgun.)

"When I did my conceal carry class, the sheriff deputy told us that we needed to expect that our gun would be taken and not returned, even if we were in the right, and defending ourselves."

A classic example of tyrannical Government. they should be required to provide you with a loaner until your own weapon can be returned to you. they should only get two weeks to hold your weapon.

Good for her.

Judge Greg Weeks will convict her of something.

Good job. Refuse to become a victim.
