FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The state Highway Patrol says alcohol may be a factor in an overnight crash that killed a Fayetteville woman.

Tamara Chambers, 29, died early Sunday morning after being thrown from a Ford Explorer on Interstate 295, near River Road.

The other person in the SUV, Maurice Rivera, survived the wreck.

It was not immediately clear who was driving the vehicle.

The SUV was traveling around 90 mph and neither person was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
