FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville woman was arrested early Sunday morning on a list of charges after she and three companions ran from police who attempted to stop their car.

Fayetteville police said four people jumped and ran from a Toyota Camry near the intersection of Longbranch Drive and Longbranch Court when officers pulled the car over.

When the four were captured, officers found that one woman, Deena Washington, 22, was wanted on charges ranging from driving without a license to possession of drugs and paraphernalia to identity theft and assault with a deadly weapon. There were 17 warrants for her arrest.

Washington was being held Monday in the Cumberland County Jail on $117,000 bond.

In a search of the car, officers found purses, credit cards and identification cards linked to crimes reported on New Year's Eve on Eastern Boulevard and Reilly Road. Authorities returned two purses to their owners, but they did not charge anyone with those crimes.

Police did not identify the others who were in the car with Washington.
