Fayetteville woman charged for role in motorcyclist's death

— After a Fayetteville motorcyclist died Friday of injuries suffered in a collision last month, police charged the driver of the other vehicle, Shirley Yvonne Murphy, with death by motor vehicle.

According to police, Murphy, 73, of the 1000 block of Fontana Street, hit Brenden Scott Wilson, 24, of the 200 block of Hay Street, on the afternoon of Sept. 28 at the intersection of Bragg Boulevard and Ames Street.

    It would help if more motorcyclists wore something more noticeable than BLACK. I believe the greatest danger from cars etc is someone turning in front of the bike or the bike being rear ended.

    Oh, and ATGATT baby! As they say, "you can wipe off sweat but you can't wipe on skin." I've actually seen a few Hardley riders wearing high viz but it's usually in the form of a t-shirt... Oh well, it's a start!
