FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities have charged a Fayetteville woman with filing a false rape report.

Autum Michelle Hobbs, 21, of the 4100 block of Jody Circle, was arrested Monday and released on bond.

Hobbs told investigators that three men kidnapped her on Dec. 30 as she walked along Cumberland Road, authorities said. She said she was held against her will for five to six hours and was bound, threatened, beaten and raped before being dropped off at a different location.

Investigators determined that no abduction or attack occurred. Instead, they said, Hobbs was at a local bar with a female friend on Dec. 30 when a fight broke out, and both women were forced to leave the premises.
