Raleigh, N.C. — Fayetteville and Wilson will receive a combined $220,000 in state funds for public transit projects – part of $1.7 million the North Carolina Board of Transportation awarded last week.
About $166,000 will go to Fayetteville toward acquiring land for a multi-modal transfer center, the state Department of Transportation said Friday.
Another $54,000 will go to replace the roof on the Wilson Transportation Center.
Asheville, Greensboro, Wilmington and Winston-Salem also received a combined $1.48 million for projects.
