Fayetteville Teen Charged With Sex Crimes Against Girl, 4

Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives said a 16-year-old boy had inappropriate contact with a 4-year-old girl.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives Tuesday charged a 16-year-old with sex crimes he allegedly committed against a 4-year-old girl.

James Lee Flanagan, of 7305 Hyannis Drive, was arrested early Tuesday and charged with first-degree sex offense, taking indecent liberties with a child and crimes against nature. All are felonies.

Investigators said Flanagan forced the girl to participate in inappropriate behavior on the evening of March 27.

Flanagan was placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center under $75,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to appear in the detention center courtroom at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
