— Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives Tuesday charged a 16-year-old with sex crimes he allegedly committed against a 4-year-old girl.

James Lee Flanagan, of 7305 Hyannis Drive, was arrested early Tuesday and charged with first-degree sex offense, taking indecent liberties with a child and crimes against nature. All are felonies.

Investigators said Flanagan forced the girl to participate in inappropriate behavior on the evening of March 27.

Flanagan was placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center under $75,000 secured bond. He was scheduled to appear in the detention center courtroom at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A 16 year old has enough common sense to know this was wrong.
THIS DUDE WILL NEVER CHANGE, HE WILL CONTINUE THESE PERVERTED ACTS. ONCE A CHILD MOLESTER, ALWAYS A CHILD MOLESTER! If it was my daughter, he wouldn't have made it to jail.

This young man is sick. He certainly need to be punished, but I surely do not know what he deserves. If it were my daughter, I would the one in jail, for murder.

I pray that the little girl can forget about this experience as she grows up.

I really don't know what I hope for the boy.

Just sick! Forget jail, let the 4 year old parents get a hold of him(unless he is family) and if that is the case I am sure that there would be plenty of volunteers to teach him a lesson. Hope the 4 yr old is okay.

jimbo56 - Just like the 17 year old that was on probation and then kills a college student? In your line of thinking he was too young to be put on probation and should have been released into his parents custody. You need to open your eyes and really look at what this society has become, starting with the public school system and what they teach our kids and more importantly what they don't teach our kids. Kids are killing each other and adults way younger than 16.

we post our opionions all the time to no avail, we hear what we have to say but what about our leaders? Our system doesnt work for the guilty, only the innocent, I really feel sorry for those that have to suffer at the hands of criminals, WE ALL NEED TO TAKE A STAND....

Jimbo56: So what you are saying if he is just a child and should be tried as a juvenile this now makes it a parent issue....Ok I agree then Jail the parents for having no responsibility for there children some kids need a swift kick for the stuff they do so I guess we will start punishing the parents...works for me. I hope your son follows a strait path for your sake.
