FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The City of Fayetteville plans increased police patrols and code enforcement in the Bonnie Doone neighborhood in coming weeks.

The area has long been known for high crime and run-down buildings.

A combined approach by the police department and the city's Environmental Services department is designed to improve the quality of life for Bonnie Doone residents over the next three to six month, city leaders said.
