Fayetteville shooting victim released from hospital, suspects sought

A 32-year-old man shot near the intersection of Northumberland Street and South Reilly Road early Wednesday morning was released from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 32-year-old man shot near the intersection of Northumberland Street and South Reilly Road early Wednesday morning was released from Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, police said.

Gregorio Atiles was walking home on South Reilly Road at about 3 a.m. when he was approached by four males, police said. One of the men was armed with a shotgun and attempted to rob Atiles, who was shot as he ran way.

No arrests have been made as of Wednesday evening.
