FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — City officials are taking action to close a Fayetteville club they say is a nuisance.

Club Riddimz, on Fort Bragg Road, has been the site of criminal activity, and an April raid found the club was serving alcohol without a permit, officials said. The city got an injunction, forcing the after-hours club to close until a hearing next week.

Officials also are close to tearing down a shopping center that was once home to another nuisance club.

The Palomino and South Beach nightclubs operated in an Owen Drive shopping center before Fayetteville forced them to close about four years ago. Officials now want to raze the shopping center, citing health and safety violations.
