Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police released surveillance photos of a man Saturday who they believe is responsible for two convenience store robberies in the last six days.
According to investigators, the man robbed the Short Stop on Murchison Road at about 1 p.m. Monday. After bringing multiple items to the clerk, the man pulled a handgun and demanded money.
Police said he left the convenience store with an undetermined amount of money.
On Tuesday, according to investigators, the same man may have been responsible for the armed robbery of a Kangaroo location on Murphy Road.
The man stands between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 130 to 140 pounds, police said. In the Monday robbery, he was wearing a black hat, black T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
Authorities believe the man was wearing the same white shoes in the Tuesday robbery.
Anyone with information about the robberies should call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
