FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police want the public's help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed a tobacco store on Village Drive last week.

According to investigators, the man entered the store, at 3360 Village Drive, in the early morning hours Nov. 2, stole property from a person inside and hit them in the head with a gun.

The suspect left the store in a gold sedan, possibly a Toyota, with a missing hubcap on the front passenger side.

Police described the man as a black male who is 6 feet tall and about 170 pounds. He has dreadlocks and was wearing light-colored jeans, a red shirt and a grey jacket with a hood at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery should call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that help solve felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
