Fayetteville police were searching Monday afternoon for a man who authorities say robbed a Wells Fargo branch on Raeford Road.

— Fayetteville police were searching Monday afternoon for a man who authorities say robbed a Wells Fargo branch on Raeford Road.

Investigators say the man, who was wearing a dark hat, light gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black mask and light gray gloves, went into the bank at about 10:20 a.m.

The man handed a note to a teller saying he had a weapon and demanding money. The man left the bank on foot with an unknown amount of money.

    Has it become a thing to rob banks without a mask? With security cameras everywhere, you just gotta know that you are being recorded.
    (I'm hoping that he didn't have a weapon, because that makes it worse).
    I think that a mental evaluation is warranted in cases like this and the guy from Saturday (robbed a bank in Durham county). It's so bold to attempt a robbery in broad daylight in a financial institution. I hope he gets the help her needs
