— Fayetteville police are searching for a man who they said robbed the same Kangaroo convenience store twice this month.

Authorities said that a man entered the convenience store at 2326 Owen Drive at about 3:15 a.m. Monday. The man, who had his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun, demanded money and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, said police.

In a surveillance video released by police, the man can be heard telling a store employee to “hurry up” and to place the money on the counter.

The man was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacket and a mask covering the lower half of his face.

Authorities said they believe the man robbed the same convenience store at knifepoint on Feb. 1. In that robbery, a man demanded money and cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a silver vehicle.

Anybody with information is asked to call Fayetteville police at 910-973-3638 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
